Dill Pickle Call for Volunteers

Dear Dill Pickle Food Co-op member, Now that we have a board, by-laws, and other legal housekeeping completed, it's time to pay attention to some of the other details involved with starting a business from the ground up. Many of you out there have previously offered your time and skills, and we're now at a point in the organizing process where we can identify areas where your expertise is needed. We are also looking for non-member volunteers. Maybe you know people who are not ready to be members, but still would be interested in volunteering their expertise to help make the store a reality. We'd love to talk with them. Right now, the Dill Pickle needs your talents within the following areas: Capital campaign and marketing plans: We need advice and help in developing and implementing a capital campaign and a marketing plan to support it. Graphic design, both for print and web. Web programming expertise would also be welcomed. Outreach: Do you have connections to other community groups? Are you a good public speaker? Great! We need someone to help develop and implement a serious membership drive, as well as a plan for outreach with other community groups. Accounting: We just bought Quickbooks and need someone to help us set up the accounts. General accounting and financial advice would be appreciated as well. Small business owners: Can you share the benefit of your experience? Real estate specialists, especially in the Logan Square neighborhood. The more assistance we can get donated from among the membership, the less of the co-op's budget we need to spend on hiring other folks to help.
