Why should you become a member?

The Dill Pickle Food Co-op will be open to all shoppers, but the strength and health of our Co-op depends on our membership base. Membership unites us with hundreds of other area families who believe in and support this shopping alternative. As a member/owner, your financial investment goes towards building a better Co-op and a better community through the events we will sponsor, the products we will carry, and the local and small family farms and businesses that we will support.

Who can join?

Membership is open to anyone over the age of 18.

What benefits do I get for being a member?

Membership entitles you to be an active participant in the governance of the store. All members have an equal say regardless of how much they have invested. All members receive a membership card, a newsletter and will receive special 'members only' sales and discounts at the store.

How much does a membership cost?

To become a member, you must purchase $50 in co-op stock a year for five years. After five years you will have invested $250 into the co-op. This money can be refunded to you upon request if you choose to leave the co-op, provided that the co-op is in good financial standing. By law members are allowed to purchase up to $500 in co-op stock and we encourage you to do that so that we can build equity. We expect to implement a low-income payment plan to ease the burden of membership over a period of months for those with limited means.

How can I purchase a membership?

Membership purchases can be made at our meetings/events or by sending a check or money order of $50-$500 (made out to Dill Pickle Food Co-op) to:

Note: We offer Paypal as a convenience to our members, but they do deduct a $2.50 service fee per payment.

How will I know that my payment was received?

Once we receive your payment we will send a confirmation email, then within two weeks you will receive your membership card and welcome letter in the mail. If you do not hear from us in a timely manner please contact our membership coordinator Jen Cozad
